Javascript (jQuery) gallery made easy

When I need to put a fancy gallery in a site my pick i Galleria.io. It’s a well documented MIT-licensed jQuery-based gallery that you can download here. You can eventually purchase even more fancy themes!

ZoomooZ: another cool jQuery plugin

Zoomooz is a cool js jQuery plugin you can create very impressive zoom effects on your whole page.

You can scale, rotate or skew (!) your page to achieve wonderful effects… there are 3 samples: I like “flickr image stack” and the “svg tree demo“.

And it’s amazing to see what people did from this… a few examples (sites using it and crazy people creating even more crazy libs based on this)…

UPDATE: browsing around I found this awesome site too..

Raphaël

Just found this js library. I’m gonna try it. Quoting from its site:

Raphaël is a small JavaScript library that should simplify your work with vector graphics on the web. If you want to create your own specific chart or image crop and rotate widget, for example, you can achieve it simply and easily with this library.
Raphaël [‘ræfeɪəl] uses the SVG W3C Recommendation and VML as a base for creating graphics. This means every graphical object you create is also a DOM object, so you can attach JavaScript event handlers or modify them later. Raphaël’s goal is to provide an adapter that will make drawing vector art compatible cross-browser and easy.
Raphaël currently supports Firefox 3.0+, Safari 3.0+, Chrome 5.0+, Opera 9.5+ and Internet Explorer 6.0+.

Here‘s the documentation.. and here‘s the author’s blog, Dmitry Baranovskiy.

He also give us a cute vector-js-generated icon set. Thanks!
